All of us get nervous before a race from time-to-time, no matter how experienced we are. For some riders, this is exactly what they need to reach their best performance, but for most of us a slightly more relaxed approach would be desirable.

With this article, I am going to attempt a fairly simple explanation of a strategy used by many elite sports people.
